Electrical controls and push-buttons

⇒ If your upholstered furniture is equipped with electrical functions and you are using them for the first time, please ensure that all components are connected correctly. Observe the explanations given under “Setting up the power supply”.

1. Where the push-buttons are located on the furniture

Electrical functions are controlled by means of knobs or ring-shaped push-buttons. They are installed in the furniture directly and are located

  • in the armrest next to the seat:

  • in the seat upholstery on the adjacent seat:

  • on the bottom of the back upholstery:

Two to five push-buttons may be installed in the furniture, depending on how many functions it has.

2. Functionality and operation of the push-buttons

The push-button for the electrical functions operates on the basis of one of the following principles:

  1. depending on the function, emits an additional audible signal. These push-buttons are solid and round or ring-shaped.
  2. The push-button contains a light and lights up red or blue when it is switched on and, depending on the function, emits an additional audible signal. These push-buttons are solid and round with an illuminated area installed in the centre.

⇒ Only one of the two functional principles is ever installed!

2.1 Operating push-buttons with audible signal

For push-buttons with audible signal, one solid push-button and one or more ring-shaped push-buttons are installed. Functions are assigned to the push-buttons as follows:

  1. Electrical functions: pressing the ring-shaped push-button once opens the function and pressing it again closes the function. Both are confirmed with a brief audible signal. Both are confirmed with a brief audible signal. This controls electrical comfort functions such as headrests, etc.
  2. Electric heater: the heater switches off automatically after ten minutes. If you press the push-button again within these ten minutes, the heater will switch off immediately. This is confirmed with a prolonged audible signal.
  3. Memory function: To save a favorite position, first press the ring-shaped button and then the full-surface button simultaneously until an acoustic signal sounds. If you want to move the seat to a saved position, simply press the push-button briefly.
  4. Close-all function (“clean-up function”): pressing the solid push-button twice closes the seat completely.

2.2 Operating illuminated buttons

In accordance with the equipment fitted, the push-buttons are arranged in the same way as the functions in the upholstered furniture: the push-buttons for the footrest are at the front, for example, and those for the headrest are at the back.

Press 1x to operate the following functions:

Press 2x to operate the following functions:

By pressing the two front buttons simultaneously, the home position is stored again.

The position in which the seat is located is stored. To do this, press the two front buttons simultaneously:

  1. Both buttons initially light up blue (=activated)
  2. As soon as both buttons light up green and an acoustic signal sounds, the home position is stored again.

The home position can be saved again as often as desired.

2.2.1 Functions with 1-5 illuminated buttons

=> When using illuminated buttons, please observe the following information:

  • The function only remains active while the button is being pressed. The function stops as soon as the button is released. Exception: for the push-button that lights up red for the heater function and the two double-click functions “home” and “close all”, the function continues even after the button has been released.
  • If a heater is installed, it will switch off automatically after a certain time for safety reasons.
